Editorial Policy

This page explains how our guides are written and checked, so you can decide how much to rely on them.

Who writes the guides

  • Guides are written and edited by the Shoujia Shop team. We use AI tools to help research and draft, and every guide is checked against its sources before it's published.
  • Each guide shows the date it was last updated.
  • Guides are written for US readers in US units. Where a metric figure helps, we convert it and round it.

Where the numbers come from

Type of informationWhat we useHow it's shown
Rules and limits (airline sizes, building code)The official source: the airline's or code body's own pageLinked, with the date we checked it
Measuring methods and rules of thumbPublished guides from retailers, manufacturers, universities and established publicationsLinked, with the date we checked it
Conversions (pounds to cups, inches to centimeters)Published reference charts and NIST conversion factorsLinked; our arithmetic is labeled as ours

If we can't find a reliable source for a number, we leave it out rather than estimate it.

What we won't do

  • No claims of testing we didn't do. We don't do hands-on product testing, so we don't write "we tried" or "tested by us."
  • No scores, rankings or "top picks." Guides help you judge fit; they don't crown winners.
  • No fake reviews or testimonials.
  • No recommendation because something is for sale. Every guide includes who should skip the product.

Our relationship with Shoujia Mall

  • Shoujia Shop and Shoujia Mall are part of the same company.
  • Guide text doesn't name, link to or recommend specific listings. When Shoujia Mall has matching items in stock, they appear in a separate, labeled box, and we may benefit if you buy.
  • If nothing matching is in stock, the box doesn't appear. The guide stays the same either way.

Keeping guides current

  1. Time-sensitive guides, like airline size limits, show the date each source was checked.
  2. When a source changes, we update the guide and the date at the top.
  3. When a reader reports an error and we confirm it, we correct the page and update the date.

Report a mistake

How do I report an error?

Email contact@shoujiamall.com with the page link and what looks wrong. A link to a source helps us check it faster.
